Onaway, MI – Industrial Arts Institute (IAI), is honored to announce the key note speaker for the 14th Cohort of students of the Comprehensive Industrial Welding Course, Mrs. Hannah Sanderson, Industrial Arts Institute (IAI) Board of Director & Char-Em ISD Career Technical Education Consultant.
“We are very pleased to have Hannah address our students as they head out to begin their welding careers. She has been instrumental as a member of our Board by Co-chairing our Curriculum Committee, actively participating on our Marketing Committee and serving as Chair of the Curriculum Advisory Committee. Her energy has been contagious, and Hannah has become a driving force to ensure the Industrial Arts Institute will continue to be ‘The Premier’ Trade school that it is”, remarked Mark Dombroski, Industrial Arts Institute, Executive Director.
In Hannah’s current position as the Career & Technical Education Consultant for the Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District, she assists, promotes, and develops CTE programs within the ISD. Her excitement for the trades, business and industry have brought her to her current role, however previously she was the Director of Business Attraction for northern Michigan where she worked closely with local communities to prepare them for industrial development. She also worked closely with manufacturers throughout Michigan promoting the region and she started a business model competition to help support entrepreneurship. Hannah, her husband and their daughter live in Petoskey and when they are not at local sporting events, they can be found outside hiking, fishing and enjoying all that northern Michigan has to offer.
“I am greatly looking forward to speaking to the graduates, it is a complete honor to have been asked to be a part of such an important moment in their lives. IAI has a strong program that has taught these students the various applications of welding, but also important life lessons; it is going to be a great day for all involved”, states Hannah Sanderson.
