ADMISSIONS ENROLLMENT & CALENDAR
VISITS & TOURS
Visitors are welcome throughout the year. Students may schedule a visit Monday through Friday between 8 am and 3 pm by contacting the Industrial Arts Institute at 989-733-4369. You will tour our facilities and discuss enrollment and financial aid opportunities. All visitors should enter through the main entrance and check in with the student services department. The Executive Director will be notified of your arrival and will greet you to begin your tour.
ADMISSIONS
Before you enroll, please read the catalog in its entirety to have a clear understanding of what to expect. This will ensure that the program meets the students’ goals.
Apply online at www.iaiworks.com by completing the Program Application.
IAI will acknowledge receipt of the Program Application via email and/or phone to schedule a tour or an Admissions Interview, which is a requirement for enrollment.
SECURE ENROLLMENT
After you have been accepted into the program, a nonrefundable enrollment fee of $500 is required to secure your seat in the Comprehensive Industrial Welding Program. This fee confirms your enrollment and will be applied toward your total tuition balance.
ORIENTATION
Orientation for students enrolled in the Comprehensive Industrial Welding Program is at 10:00 a.m. on the Friday preceding the start date of the program. Orientation is mandatory for all new students.
COHORT DATES
A new cohort of students begins the last week of January & the first week of August yearly.
Program dates are published on our website. Prospective students are encouraged to consult the website for the most current schedule of upcoming cohorts.

TRAINING SCHEDULE
Lunch:12PM-12:30 PM |Break times: 10 AM -10:15 am & 2 PM- 2:15 PM. These times will be strictly enforced.
Classes are held Monday – Friday * 7:45am till 3:45 pm. Due to the accelerated nature of the IAI program, each student is expected to report to the classroom at least 10 to 15 minutes before the start of class each day.
