Employer Testimonial: Moran Iron Works
“In the last number of years, Moran Iron Works owes a good portion of its success to the craftspeople we retained from the Industrial Arts Institute. I could not be more pleased with both my current staff for the efforts in recruitment, and the four solid individualswe attracted from this cohort. The fresh skills, new ideas, and energy to turn all that into value is a process I personally enjoy watching and something that makes being a CEO rewarding.” Tom Moran, Founder & CEO of Moran Iron Works, Inc.

Mason Gustafson | St. Ignace, MI
Upon completion of his Comprehensive Industrial Welding program, Mason began working as a welder for MERRILL in Alma, MI. Mason thoroughly enjoyed his successful nine months working at Merrill, but decided he wanted to pursue his goal of joining the United States Marines. Mason left MERRILL with an excellent reputation, and has a position waiting for him when he returns!
Mason met with a recruiter and one month later was on a plane to Parris Island, SC to complete his boot camp training! He spent the next 13 weeks training hard and receiving swim and rifle qualifications as well as physical and mental training, finishing 19th out of his company! He is now headed to South Carolina to complete additional training.
Mason was recently home and stopped by the Industrial Arts Institute to visit and catch everyone up on his new adventure! Thank you for your service, Mason! We are so proud of you!
