STUDENT & EMPLOYER TESTIMONIALS

“This school has been an amazing experience. I went into it thinking I was just going to be doing welding, graduate, and then get a job. IAI is so much more than that and the staff really make you feel like family. They always want what’s best for you, not just as a welder but as a person. Best choice you can make is to join the IAI family.” -James Peterson, Cohort 5 Alumni

” I would like to thank the Industrial Arts Institute faculty and staff for the great educational experience they provided me during Cohort 5s Comprehensive Industrial Welding program. Not only did I achieve my CIW100 weld certification, I also established many new friendships. Thank you again for the mentoring and supportive role IAI played during my training.”- Brent Dzuida, Cohort 5 Alumni

Employer Testimonial:

“Chris and James have been fantastic additions to the Industrial Magnetics team. We really value our partnership with IAI. The IAI program not only provides students with the technical skills required to be successful, but also the soft skills employers are looking for when building strong teams.”

STUDENT TESTIMONIAL: ALEX WAHA

“Two years ago, if you’d asked me what I was going to do with my life I would have laughed anxiously and told you I wasn’t sure. 21 years old, in and out of trouble, no license or car, zero college. I didn’t have a plan, I was slowly accepting that I wasn’t ever going to be sure. Until one day a family member of mine showed me an article on a school. The Industrial Arts Institute a division of Moran Iron Works. A 15-week welding program that cost less than a year of college that most graduated out of with jobs right away. A school that helped you find housing and helped you pursue financing to attend their program. I was sold! One year ago, I moved to Onaway and began to learn and be inspired by the extraordinary instructors at IAI. It was the best choice of my life deciding to go to the Trades School that Tom Moran had put so much thought and time into. With the help of his staff he chose and the great teachers, I quickly became something of a welder. I still have a long way to go. No one will ever understand how much IAI did for me. I now have a great job in Marne, MI at DeWys Manufacturing, a car, a license, and a clear future. Two years ago, I wouldn’t have believed you if you’d told me I would be as happy and as comfortable with my life as I am today. For that I can thank Tom Moran and the staff and instructors at the Industrial Arts Institute.”
