Industrial Arts Institute (IAI), a division of Moran Iron Works (MIW), is honored to announce the key note speaker for the 2nd Cohort of students of the Comprehensive Industrial Welding Course CIW 100, Mr. William Hodges, President of Michigan CAT.

Mr. Hodges has served as President of Michigan CAT since 2004. Michigan CAT is a privately owned full service Caterpillar Equipment Dealership in Michigan with over 800 employees and 13 store locations throughout the Lower Peninsula. Bill received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and his Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to speak to the graduates and I consider it a compliment to be asked by IAI,” states Mr. Hodges. “It is a wonderful program and I am impressed about the investment that IAI is making into the talent and trades in Michigan.”

He will address 15 new graduates that have completed a 15 week course of study with intense hands on training from seasoned Certified Welding Educators (CWE) in multiple disciplines in welding and fabricating. All students will graduate as certified welders.

I also know him personally as a very genuine man that is dedicated to his family, community and the State of Michigan. I always enjoy his insight and I am truly looking forward to his message to the graduates.”

The Industrial Arts Institute graduation ceremony for Cohort 2 is Friday, April 17, 2015 at 4pm at the school.
