Course Description:

The NCCER Core Curriculum is a prerequisite to all other Level 1 craft curriculum. Its modules cover topics such as Basic Safety, Introduction to Construction Math, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Basic Rigging, Material Handling, Communication Skills and Introduction to Construction Drawings. Completing this curriculum gives the trainee the basic skills needed to continue education in any craft area he or she chooses.

Course Description:

The HVAC trade requires electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding and some insulation and sheet metal work. HVAC technicians are able to install, maintain, diagnose and correct problems in heating and cooling systems.

This curriculum covers content such as Trade Mathematics, Basic Electricity, Introduction to Heating, Introduction to Cooling, Air Distribution Systems, Basic Copper and Plastic Piping Practices, Soldering and Brazing, and Basic Carbon Steel Piping Practices.
